Fashion Design

Students in the fashion design class have learned how to use our embroidery machines. They are busy working on projects for a grade. They can also make shirts for people in the community. We have some neat wildcat designs. If you would like to see them stop by Mrs. Lipe's room sometime. The cost for most sweatshirts is between $20 - $25.

High School FACS class

Students in the high school FACS classes have been learning how to apply for a job. We have spent several days learning the correct ways to fill out job applications. Students are now taking some assessments to see how their interests match up to different jobs. They will be doing some research finding out information about 5 different careers they may be interested in. Parents you may want to check out the website we are using- missouriconnections.org It has some really neat information!

Middle School Classes

Students in the middle school FACS classes are busy working on their pillows. They are doing a great job! Tuesday will be the last day of class time we spend working on them. I will stay after school on Tuesday until 4:00 for any student who has not finished their pillow and would like time to work on it.

FCCLA news

Students who want to join FCCLA (Family Career & Community Leaders of America) need to have their dues ($15) paid in order to attend the next meeting. Those wanting to run for office be sure and see Mrs. Lipe! Requirements to join FCCLA include having at least a semester of one of the FACS classes. This could include a middle school class.
The school year is off to a great start! Classes are moving along well. Fashion Design classes are learning to use the embroidery machines and will soon be able to take orders for shirts! Middle school FACS classes are taking care of the Baby think it Over simulators and will soon start their sewing projects. Foods and Nutrition class are evaluating their own diet and will be learning how to make changes to be healthier. High School FACS classes will soon be learning about career preparation and what they need to do to find their first job.
